Persuasive Rang 5-6

The purpose of persuasive writing is to argue a particular point of view and to encourage the reader or listener to believe the same point of view. Firstly, you introduce your topic with an opening statement that sums up the viewpoint. Secondly, you argue your case using strong, emotional language. It is very important to look at and address your audience. It is also very important to use facts and points of evidence to support your argument. In conclusion, you should finish with a closing statement that gives your own personal point of view to sum up your point of view.
