We celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. That was the day that Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. His mom Mary and dad Joseph were there and people came to see the new baby. Three wise men followed a star and three shepherds came to see him too. We love Jesus because he taught us all about God.
At Christmas people decorate their homes with lots of decorations and lights. They put up a Christmas tree and a crib. Families spend lots of time together over Christmas and they visit relatives and friends. On Christmas Day we eat turkey and ham for dinner. Santa comes with lots of presents! The chimney needs to be cleaned before Santa comes. Boys and girls leave out carrots for the reindeer, and cookies and a drink for Santa. We go to mass to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.
