My Pet Pony

My Pet Pony

I have a pet pony and his name is Buttercup. He is grey in colour with a long grey tail. He has a white stripe on his nose. He lives on a farm with my Granddad in Newmarket. He lives in a shed on his own. He eats hay and drinks water. He kicks his hooves against the door to get out. When I get a chance I like to walk around the field with him. I named him Buttercup because he likes buttercups. He is my favourite pet. I will spend a lot of my summer holidays with him.

My Dad

My Dad

My Dad’s name is William. He is a great Dad because he gives me sweets. My favourite sweets are cola bottles. He went to Bristol to work during the year and I missed him a lot. He was fixing houses over in Bristol. When he came home he brought me lots of sweets. He brought my brother sweets as well. He got us toys and we had great fun playing with them. I like it when my Dad collects me from school. He is the best Dad in the world.

The life cycle of a Butterfly

The Life Cycle of a Butterfly

First I got a piece of paper with pictures. There was a picture of a leaf, a picture of egg and leaf, a picture of a butterfly and picture of cocoon. Then I coloured in the pictures. I got a second sheet with four boxes. In each box I wrote down a different part of the life cycle. In the first box I wrote a leaf, in the second box I wrote an egg, in the third box I wrote a cocoon and the last box I wrote a butterfly. Next I cut out the pictures with a scissors. In the first box I stuck on the picture of the leaf. In second box I stuck a picture of an egg, on the third picture I stuck on a picture of a cocoon and the last box I stuck on a picture of a butterfly. I now know how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. The caterpillar goes out the egg on the leaf, it then goes into a cocoon and then it turns into a butterfly.

My Paper Butterfly

My Paper Butterfly

First the teacher gave me a butterfly drawn on paper. I then wrote my name on the back of the butterfly. I took crepe paper out of the box and started to break it up. I used dark blue, light blue, purple, yellow and red paper. I used glue to stick on the different coloured crepe paper. When I finished sticking on the paper, I put on googly eyes. I then got a lollipop stick and stuck it on the back of the butterfly. We then hung the butterflies on the wall beside the Hungry Caterpillar.

Limerick

There was an Old Man in a boat,

Who got hit in the eye by a goat.

His eye started to swell,

And he smothered it with gel,

That unhappy old man in the boat!
